To Qualify for a Habitat for Humanity House, prospective homeowners must:
Dedication
- Currently live in inadequate housing and are unable to afford a conventional mortgage.
- Have a stable income and be financially responsible.
- Be able to make monthly payments plus insurance and taxes on a 20-30 year mortgage.
- Be willing to work on your home and other Habitat houses.
- Be able to make a $600 down payment/closing fee, and make monthly payments plus insurance and taxes on a mortgage.
- Participate in Habitat's nurturing program (financial counseling, household management, home maintenance).
